These volunteers are serving as eyes and ears for the social work staff, identifying children in need.

They assist families to obtain necessary documents like birth certificates, death certificates and other important documents.

Their services are invaluable to both the clients and the social work staff.

Volunteering at the Thamsanqa Projects is about being a game changer!  It is about touching lives!

How do we change the status quo for children that do not have his/her own parent? Time and love is the answer, its more expensive than money, more lasting than gifts, it is the greatest gift, your time! Time, love and resources given to a child who cannot give much back and yet almost every volunteer we have ever had, said that they left with a sense of fulfillment, knowing that they touched someone else’s life.

We welcome volunteers to our Projects as their input, time and love has made the Thamsanqa Projects what they are today. Tasks that volunteers are most needed for include, but are not restricted to the following: Assist with the homework and education of the children, assist with outings such as beach and other trips, visits to dentist and hospital, holiday programmes to keep the children busy, mentoring and guidance to the teenagers, beautifying the buildings for the arty volunteer and so much more.
